These People Make Me SICK!!

You know the ones I’m talking about…..the ones that advertise their so called “MUST HAVE” ab equipment or new fan-dangled exercise equipment with their Quick fix diet plan that promises you you’ll go from flabby and over weight to thin with rock hard abs/body in less then a month. These commercials are EVERYWHERE come January. They prey on people that have a dire want or need to lose weight….people that are confused and don’t think they can do it without their product. First of all…as most of us know…there is NO quick fix! Losing weight slowly is not only healthier BUT…it gives us time to adapt new healthier habits. They say it takes 3 months to adopt a new habit whether it be good or bad.

If you’re considering buying anything of this nature…SAVE YOUR MONEY! When my clients first come to me…they think they need all this expensive equipment. I tell them…All you need is an exercise mat and a PLAN. Free weights are great…but still not needed right off the bat. You can get a GREAT workout at home with a mat and some milk jugs filled with water or sand, your own body weight and the open road for walking/jogging. Getting fit doesn’t have to be expensive. You don’t need to buy expensive equipment if you can’t afford it. You don’t need a gym membership. It really is that simple :D

So…before you go out and spend money you don’t have….consider this blog first and do some research (or message me) for some things you can do at home for a whole lot less ;)

A Bathroom? OR A Funhouse?!

I forgot to mention this in the blog about going out for lunch ;) I found this pretty ammusing (doesn’t take much) so I thought I’d share :D

When my hubby and I went to Kelsey’s for lunch the other day…I went to the bathroom. After I was washed my hands I did a quick check on my lipstick and fixed my hair a bit. On my way out the door I was stopped in my tracks! They had this BEAUTIFUL huge full length mirror by the door. There was this girl looking back at me that was tall and thin! It WAS me BUT…just so you know…I’m only 5′1″ :o . The me looking back at me looked like she was like 6 feet freakin tall! LOL!!! I looked in the mirror at the surrounding background and everything looked longer and thinner to the eye. So…I decided to have a bit of fun ;) I ran back to the sink mirrors…made a funny face…then ran back to the other mirror to see the difference. LOL! I know what you’re thinking…”retard”…LMAO! I did this a few times then stood in front of the full length mirror and WISHED I actually looked like that ;) .

When I went back to sit down….I told my hubby about this mirror. I commented that they probably put these mirrors in the bathroom so you THINK you look nice and thin and will order more food :D. NOT ME!!! The salad was plenty ;) .

*****BuddySlimmer Of The Week??*****

Where’s my buddyslimmer of the week for our Newsletter?? Don’t forget guys! Message me with your weight lost this week and how hard you exercised to be up for BuddySlimmer Of The Week!

Give Me A GUN!!! It’s Time…..

I’ve been working out for 1.5 hours (give or take) a day….Drinking ALL my water…Eating right….etc. Like I said in my last blog…it’s been like a boot camp around here! So….I take a step on the scale this morning and not only have I NOT lost any weight…but I gained a freakin’ pound!! You gotta be F*cking kidding me! That stupid scale has made me SO mad…I swear. I’m going to take a machine gun to that piece of crap. My scale has met its maker…time to DIE!

I know what the problem is. Not enough calories to support my workouts (which I don’t usually do by the way) and I know how to avoid plateaus…I’m a personal trainer for crying out loud!!! Now…here’s the question….if I wouldn’t let my clients get away with that crap….why do I do it to myself? Niether here nor there now. I KNOW i need to start being more diligent with my calories….I KNOW what I have to do. I’m just venting. Sorry guys. It did feel good to let it go though :D On the upside…………..

My hubby had a colonoscopy today (that’s not the good part ;) ). He was STARVING when it was done because he had to fast for a day and take all kinds of crazy laxatives. So…when I picked him up from the hospital I took him out for lunch. He ordered a HUGE hamburger topped with onion rings and a side of fries with gravy. Me? I had a a salad topped with grilled chicken and a healthy dressing ;). We ordered bruscetta to start which was prepared on a flat bread. I only had 1 small piece. The best part? Watching him eat fries and gravy and NOT caring that I didn’t get any :D Didn’t phase me ;). So….There’s a more positive ending to this blog :D

My House Is A DISASTER but I’m Getting THINNER!

Boy…it’s been like a boot camp around here the past couple weeks :o . I’ve been so 1000% into my exercising, diet and of course buddyslim ;) ….My house is looking like a bomb went off!!!! Ok…well maybe not that bad but still ;). I’ve been so enthrawled with making this work I’ve been working out 2-3 X a day in intervals….pre-planning for meals….and making regular visits to this site to keep me focused. It’s been AWSOME!! Too bad I need a house keeper now…LOL!

I’m one of those people that if I lose sight for but a moment….I’ll fall. Sounds crazy I know. I guess I should stop talking and go and vacuum now ;). LOL!

BuddySlimmer Of The Week

Could you be the Buddyslimmer of the week? Message me with your weekly weight loss and what you did to accomplish it (exercise, eating habits etc.) and you could be our Buddslimmer of the week and be spot lighted here next week! :D

Evangelist Tip

As a Personal Trainer…here’s a little tip from me to you :D

Squats and lunges are a GREAT way to work your lower body and lift your tush but are you doing them properly? These exercises can play havoc on your knees if you’re not doing them correctly. When performing a squat or a lunge, try to put your energy/weight into the heels of your feet. Not only will you feel it more in your glutes (butt) but you’ll take the pressure off your knees. Also, be sure your knees never come out over your toe line.

Keep looking forward everyone! Work towards your victory….keep logging into buddy slim to get and give support….But most of all, keep celebrating your successes and leave the past where it belongs ;)

I LOVE MONDAYS!!! :D

I know what you’re thinking….Mondays???? Most people HATE Mondays! Why do I love mondays so much??? Mondays are like a new bwgining every week in the world of weight loss :D . If you were “bad” (which I wasn’t) over the weekend….Monday comes along and you know it’s time to start over and work hard all week to correct your weekend mistakes ;) . You get to do your best and start looking forward to the next weigh in! So…for those that hate Mondays….look at it like a new begining every week…you never know…you might start to like Mondays! Well…Maybe ;) LOL!!

Lets work our BUTTS OFF this week everyone!!!! Work for a reason to love weigh in day :D

**It Paid Off :D**

I worked my A** off this week and was SO happy with my results at todays weigh in! :D I worked out EVERY day this week, most of the time 2X a day….I lost track of how many minutes after I hit 450 minutes :o . It was a mixed bag of cardio, strengthening, and yoga. I drank water, water and MORE water and ate healthy as usual. In return…the scale turned up a 3.5lbs loss…1.75″ lost….and 0.7% body fat lost…WOOT WOOT! The reason I’m excited is because I had my own little personal goal this week to be below where I was before I gained at Christmas and I reached that goal! I’m 0.5lbs lighter then I was BEFORE Christmas ;) .

HAPPY DAY :D

This So FREAKIN’ ANNOYING!

Ok…so…I’m going through and reading blogs. Trying to get to know more of my fellow buddyslimmers. I try to comment on the blog…submit it…and NOTHING! It doesn’t post *sigh*. I mean…you guys know me…I’m a bit long winded ;) SO…to have to retype it just pisses me off! Most times I get mad and just shut it down. Sorry…needed to vent that…I JUST tried to post on like 3 blogs and came up empty handed in the end. I’m on dial up so everything takes time…let alone having to retype my comments ;) I HATE having to repeat myself in everyday conversation let alone on the web…LOL! :D ;)

LMAO!!! Ok…there’s my rant for the day…and no…I don’t have PMS ;)

Pretty PROUD :D

Hey fellow buddyslimmers!! This week has been great for me when talking about exercise and eating right. It feels GREAT to be back on track! :D I’ve worked out everyday since Saturday anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours….I’ve drank my water EVERYDAY…..I’ve made healthy choices AND…avoided those left over treats from Christmas/New Years.

Last night I was dragging my butt…I had done 30 minutes of exercise in the morning and just didn’t feel like doing another one in the evening. After I put the kids to bed my hubby said “Lets get that workout done…c’mon…I’ll do it with you” :D He’s so great ;) So….Off I went…sweatin’ my butt off for the second time that day.

I’m blogging this because I think it’s important to blog our successes AS WELL as our downfalls. It’s nice to focus on the positive to keep you driven and positive in your journey.

Thanks for reading!
