PLEASE HELP! - Needing Some Tough Love….Ok…A KICK IN THE A**!!
Well….here it is. The Trainer needing a kick in the butt. Yes….Even trainers need a push, tough love, a kick in the toosh. I’ve been in such a rut since the weekend. On Saturdays I allow myself a cheat night but it is accounted for in my calories. My Niece came over for her 16th Birthday and I treated her to a “Spa” night here at my home followed by a movie, chips etc..
Obviously I ate WAY to many chips and junk or I wouldn’t be writing this god awful blog right now. So….after that I thought….No prob….I can recover :). NOT!!!! The next day a friend stopped by and we had like 4 glasses of wine. There we go again….out of calorie range. WTF is wrong with me!? HONESTLY! I FINALLY get myself below 140 for 2 weeks and I’m sabatoging myself!
So…today and yesterday I’ve had ZERO energy. I FORCED my a** into doing a 45 minute workout today but it just wasn’t good enough. It actually sucked because for the first time in years I actually did NOT want to do it :(. I just wanted it to be OVER!!! It was all I could do to lift my foot on to the step for step aerobics :(. That’s not like me. This is crazy. I think I’m falling into a funk because of winter blahs and I need to pull myself out. My goal is to reach goal weight by May 2nd……..not too much to ask….I only have about 10-12lbs to go. If I get into this winter rut it may not happen though! Ok…enough of that talk. I’m not going to let this grey, wintery, crappy weather stop me from what I’ve been working so hard for. Hmmmm……did I just give myself tough love??? Whatever……niether here nor there…..I’m NOT going use this as some lame excuse to not achieve my goals. That’s unacceptable. Sorry for all the crazy rambling guys….I’m just venting….writing it down to make me feel better
.
Well…..thanks for listening guys!!! ![]()
Ready? KICK!!! ANOTHER KICK!!! Feel hon??
You are doing fine! Just a couple bad days. You will be back to being you and trainer mode in no time.

You should force yourself to have a more positive attitude about yourself now. You are awesome and you know what you to do. Stop focusing on the past now and start telling yourself how awesome you are!
Thanks you guys
…. That’s helping!!!! I’m so glad you guys are here
I am so having blah days about this too! Let’s get our energy back
You can reach your goal—feel better, ‘kay?
I don’t know what the weather is like there but here the temps FINALLY reached above freezing. It was 38 out and I swear it felt like summer compared to how things have been. If you get a nice day like that GO OUT OUTSIDE. THAT IS AN ORDER!!! HaHa! Seriously though, it helped so much to just get out of the house and get some fresh air.
Maybe you could find something FUN to do that helps boost your energy and mood. Maybe the next sunny day, even if it IS freezing cold, you can go outside and just enjoy the sunshine. I get the winter blahs too, and those sunny days are few and far between, so be sure to enjoy the next one that comes along!
As far as the calories go, I don’t think you’ve sabotaged your goal by having a few extra a COUPLE of days! Maybe you couild go really low for two days (bottom line to support your workouts) and that should balance it out. And another way to look at the extra cal days, is that maybe they really kicked your metabolism into not knowing WHAT the heck is going on and thinking hey… we’re eating more now, so I can burn more.
That’s a GOOD thing!
You did a GREAT JOB working out even though you didn’t feel like it. The main thing is that you pushed through and didn’t give in to that urge to stop!! Be proud of yourself for that!
Michelle, I know what it’s like to get into that rut. In the past, what has helped pull you out of it?
It’s funny, the commitment to YOU has helped me to stay on track. I just can’t face the group and say, I didn’t do what I committed to doing. Do you have someone to be ac ‘ countable to? Could you find someone? Do you want it to be me?
I’ve been a shopping queen this week. I bought a new top of Friday, Monday and Today. (bad, I know). But I’m not treating myself with food.
Maybe that is a bit excessive, but could you motivate yourself with some kind of treat. A nice top or skirt you’ve been looking at (there’s some nice spring wear out). If you work out 6x this week, what can you get as a reward. Even your favorite magazine or a book could do. Or some alone time? What do you WANT?
You can do it! Get up, go and workout. Do one set of abs!!!
Consider your ass kicked!
You can’t get in a rut because you’re totally my motivation!!! How’s that for a guilt trip???
I’ve been right there with you on the zero energy thing, but then I realized today that the reason I don’t have any energy is probably because I haven’t been working out! Again, we do this to ourselves!!!
GET YOUR A$$ MOVING!!!
Winter blahs… are just blah. There’snothing you can really do about them, just roll with it. You’re back working out and hope you’re eating more healthy now as well. Baby steps. Remember how good it feels to be under 140!!!
Winter definately give me the blues…the blahs and anything in between.
We are going to have those down, sluggish days (having a bit of that myself) BUT then its time to make a decision…whats it gonna be…Get up or wallow?? I say GET UP!
*kick* You know we love ya!!
Sorry, I am a little late reading your blog and I am sure you don’t need any more kicks. See the girls gave you plenty
I have those days too and lately I been kicking myself often. Can’t wait for the warmer sunny days to come back.
Come on girl, get up and get moving. You can do it!
((HUGS))
You can do this. just remember that all you need to achieve is success today. tomorrow you have another decision to make, if you want to stay on track that day. but leave THAT decision up to tomorrow. make the decision today to stay on track. and when you wake up tomorrow having achieved your goal of staying on track yesterday, you will want to do it again and again!
Sucks that you got sick on top of all this! I have been struggling so much lately too, and I hate feeling like I am just going through the motions in my workouts. I hope you are feeling better soon! And you are right, we won’t let you use the winter blahs as an excuse to blow your goals! I am trying to get back on track too and will help any way I can!
